CHANGING COMMUNITIES FOR GOOD
ROB'S STORY
Rob Strasberg is a globally recognized creative and nonprofit leader who built a celebrated career in advertising before dedicating his expertise to transforming the way communities address homelessness. He is currently the Co-Founder and a Trustee Member of Humble Design.
Rob began his advertising career in NYC and quickly rose to prominence as VP Creative Director at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. His disruptive, culturally resonant work helped CP+B become Advertising Age’s
Agency of the Decade for the 2000s. Rob was honored as one of the Top Ten Most Awarded Creative Directors in the world for innovations with Burger King, MINI, IKEA, Volkswagen, Sprite, and the “truth” anti-tobacco social campaign. Details magazine named him to their 50 Most Influential Men.
Next, Rob acquired Doner Advertising, one of the world’s largest independent agencies.
As co-owner with a vision to transform it into a modern, socially integrated agency, they won accounts including Jeep,
Dodge, Ram, Fiat, Amazon, Coca-Cola brands, Del Taco, and JCPenney. After nearly a decade of growth, Rob sold Doner to MDC and Partners.
Rob turned his focus full-time to Humble Design, an organization his wife founded in Detroit.
Together, they scaled Humble Design’s local model from a grassroots project into a national movement. Partnering with U-Haul, Clorox, CB2, Microsoft, and others, they helped expand operations beyond Detroit to cities including Chicago, Seattle, San Diego, and Cleveland so far.
